In 2025, the airport recorded more than 114,000 tower operations, making it one of the busiest facilities in Midwest ATC's contract tower portfolio. Midwest ATC has operated the airport's tower for more than 35 years, supporting its continued role as a gateway for business aviation throughout the Cincinnati region.

Lunken's legacy extends beyond traffic volume. The facility was named Midwest ATC Facility of the Year multiple times and received the nationally recognized Willie F. Card Contract Tower Service Award. Individual controllers and managers from LUK have also earned numerous Midwest ATC and ATCA honors, including multiple Controller of the Year awards and an ATCA Chairman's Citation of Merit Award.
