MidwestATC - Appleton International Airport
Appleton International Airport (ATW)
Midwest ATC has been operating the Appleton International Airport FAA Contract Tower (ATW FCT) since 1994. Located along the shores of Lake Winnegabo and the Fox River, Appleton, WI is a scenic destination within a short drive of Green Bay.

The airport is the third largest in Wisconsin, offering nonstop airline service to many destinations. Airlines offering these services include American, Delta, Allegiant, and United. The ATW airport has grown more than 118% in the last 10 years. In 2024, the airport accommodated more than 540,000 passenger enplanements. In addition to air taxi and commercial operations, the airport is home to Gulfstream Appleton, a service center and a large-cabin completions facility spread over approximately 500,000 square feet of space.

Hundreds of aircraft visit this facility annually. During the annual Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture air show and gathering at the nearby Oshkosh Airport, ATW aircraft operations increase substantially. The tower is award winner of multiple Midwest ATC Facility Awards including 2014 ATM of the Year, 2022 Facility of the Year, 2022 Controller of the Year, and 2023 ATM of the Year.
Mesa Gateway Airport
Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA)
The Mesa Gateway Airport FAA Contract Tower (IWA FCT) became a Midwest ATC operated facility in February 2025. The second busiest FAA Contract Tower in the United States, IWA is the fifth busiest air traffic control tower in Arizona with 2024 traffic count over 314,000 operations.

With more than 978,000 passenger enplanements in 2024, Mesa Gateway Airport is serviced by Allegiant and Sun Country Airlines. The airport projects handling 10 million passengers annually by 2030. IWA is also home to SkyBridge Arizona, the nation's first international air cargo hub to house both Mexican and United States customs.
New Century Aircenter Airport (IXD)
New Century Aircenter Airport (IXD)
Our flagship location, we have been providing ATC service at the New Century AirCenter Airport (IXD) since 1978. A joint civil-military general aviation airport with nearly 100,000 tower operations in 2024, IXD is the second busiest airport in the state of Kansas.

Garmin Flight Operations, based at IXD, developed, and tested the Garmin Autoland system and other revolutionary aviation products over the course of the past few years.  This has resulted in thousands of extra practice instrument approaches, opposite direction approaches and unusual requests. In addition, the U.S. Army Reserve Aviation Command has an Aviation Support Facility located at IXD. Several military H-47 Chinook helicopters are based here and operate frequently.

IXD FCT is an award winner of multiple Midwest ATC Facility Awards including 2000 Facility of the Year, 2011 ATM of the Year, 2017 ATM of the Year, 2017 Facility of the Year, 2020 ATM of the Year, and 2024 Facility of the Year.
Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY)
Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY)
Midwest ATC has operated the control tower at MVY for more than 35 years, beginning seasonally under an FAA sole source program. In 2005, the tower was included in our award of Area 1 of the FAA Contract Tower Program, and we have provided year-round service there ever since.

The Martha’s Vineyard is an island destination popular during the summer months which makes the airport seasonally very busy. Census reports show 1,600 year-round residents, but this number exceeds 100K in the summer months and includes politicians, celebrities, and dignitaries from all over the world. Located in the middle of the island, the Martha’s Vineyard Airport is the primary access point for travelers using many commercial and air carrier companies including CapeAir, Tradewind, JetBlue, Delta, and American Airlines.  In 2024, the airport had more than 83,000 passenger enplanements. Things change drastically during the summer months at the Vineyard. From November to May, there are approximately 1,060 average monthly operations. From May to November, this average increases to more than 4,800 monthly operations.

The MVY FAA Contract Tower is a proud US Contract Tower Association Willie F. Card Memorial Award Winner. In addition, MVY is an award winner of multiple Midwest ATC Facility Awards including 2011 ATM of the Year, 2011 Facility of the Year, and 2015 Facility of the Year.

“Midwest ATC’s dedication to safety and professionalism is second to none. We trust them to handle our most critical operations.”
